I learned so much in this class. I learned that I can actually create art that I can be proud of. Before this class started I got the 150 pack of prismacolor pencils, I learned to not go crazy and try and use every single color I had. I found a love for colored pencils (prismacolor only). As fun at it is to paint its not my best medium. I realized that it's important to love what you're painting/drawing or else it's going to be miserable. I also learned how amazing it is to be surrounded by other artists. My peers helped me so much to improve my art and support me. I learned that I really should have taken Mrs. Rossi more seriously about deadlines and how quickly the due date comes. (I'm sure Mrs. Rossi is reading this and is just thinking "I told you so"). I enjoyed exploring different mediums, like pen and ink, oil paint, chalk pastel pencils, gel pens, paint markers, prismacolor markers, and I'm sure there's a few more that I forgot to mention. Basically AC Moore became my best friend this past year because I was constantly buying new art supplies. I learned that a strong composition is key to every piece that I create. Basically I learned how to art.
Mrs. Rossi,
I cannot thank you enough for encouraging me to take AP Art. This class has taught me so many things and I'm going to value my time in this class for the rest of my life. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for looking beyond my challenged art from Art 1 and 2 and believing that I had the potential to do great things. I am going to treasure the friendships I've made and the lessons I've learned in AP Art for forever and that is all because of you. I feel that I am leaving high school actually accomplishing something. To leave knowing that I created 24 works of art that I am mostly proud of feels amazing. You have been more than a teacher to me, you've been a second mom that I can come to laugh with, complain to, or just chill with. You made me believe in myself. I would not have found this great talent without your help and support. I know I would sometime roll my eyes or complain when you would give me advice but I was always grateful I listened to you in the end. You're amazing Mrs. Rossi thank you for all that you've taught me these past 4 years of high school. I will remember you and love you forever. Thank you for everything.
