SUshi
For my concentration I chose to do "A Day in the Life of Madison Marrott" through this I will show my unique talents and things that I do in my everyday life. For my first concentration I chose to do sushi. My family's favorite restaurant is Sushi Thai. We usually go about once every other week, if not more and we've been going for the past 10 years. I tend to be pretty adventurous with what I eat and just let the chef make me whatever he wants to. For my piece I am holding a piece of sushi about to eat it. I took the picture from eye level so it's like you're about to put it in your mouth. I'm holding the sushi on a fork. I have a tremor in my hands from my concussion so it makes it very hard to eat with chopsticks. This piece is very unique to me and relevant to my concentration because I know it's at my favorite restaurant with me holding sushi with a fork. Not many people do that. I think this piece was a huge success. I love how realistic the big focus piece of sushi looks. I used prisma colored pencils as well as some gel pens to complete this piece. I will most likely go back into the rest of the sushi in the background and add more depth and shadows to make it look less flat. The hard wood table was easier than I thought it would be. The fork also looks great with the highlights and reflections coming off of it. I think this is my absolute favorite piece yet. I enjoyed working on this project and I'm excited to do more pieces for my concentration.
