Clay Pizza
I really really love how my clay pizza turned out. It was pretty easy to get the right shape and texture for a pizza by making bubbles and lumps on the cheese. The most difficult part of making this pizza realistic was the color. I painted a lot of layers in order to get just the right color. I had to make sure the color of the sauce, cheese, crust, and pepperoni looked as realistic as possible. In my opinion my pizza looks very real. Trial and error payed off with painting. If I were to change anything about my clay pizza project I would have made a few more slices of pizza. In my opinion one of the best touches to my project is the real pizza box with the grease spots, making it look much more real.
Abstract Christmas Ornament
I did not like this project. Because we had to balance our time with 2 projects I did not prioritize properly and I spent most of the time working on my clay pizza. I originally had the idea to draw a flower, but the more I thought about and looked at my sketches of the flower, the less I liked my idea. So I changed my mind and drew a more abstract picture of an ornament. If I had had more time I think I could have made this piece look much better. The ornament looks okay, you can see the lights and darks but the background did not look good at all. Overall I did not like my abstract project.
